Dell Helps PC Users Finally Get Something Cool

This is for all my PC friends who are tired of me walking around with all my cool Apple devices and are still a bit nervous about moving to a droid system but who still really secretly want a "hot" gadget. Dell has come through for you with the Inspiron Duo. Dell has taken its netbook concept and added tablet functionality, combining touch and typing is a cool convertible design. And as with the Droid system, it addresses the shortcomings of the Ipad. So, to answer all the questions I know are coming, here is my assessment.

1. It runs on Windows 7 operating system, so for me, that is always going to be a negative. This means you can expect to deal with all the crap you get with windows (viruses, shutdowns, etc). But if that is what you are already working with this won't be any worse.
2. It has a 2gb processor which is competitive in the market right now and 320gb hard drive, which will allow for ample storage, although I would still recommend a external hard drive for back up. By comparison to the Ipad (which is not designed to be computer) that has flash memory limited to 16-64 gb depending on the model you get. This processor and hard drive make it fully functional for full programs and not apps.
3. Expandability is great, because unlike the Ipad, it has 2- 2.0 USB ports, WiFi enabled, sim card slot and Bluetooth 3.0 combo card all of which gives you limitless add on and external options.
4. It has a camera (although a crappy 1.3 mega pixel) and built in microphone and speakers so it can be used to support most entertainment and gaming needs. If you spend and extra $100 you can get the external base/stand which will provide a enhanced audio experience as well as extra USB ports, media card slots and additional power.
5. Battery life is only about 3 hours, so you will definitely need to travel with your AC adapter at all times. The battery life on the ipad is about 3x as long.
6. Finally, this little bundle weights about 3.5 lbs as compared to the ipad's 1.5 lbs, but ya know there is going to be some added weight to get the full size keyboard.

All of this for the entry price for $550 (if you want blue they will charge u an additional $40) with the audio base another $100.

i whip my hair back and forth!

One of my biggest pet peeves is folks who take themselves to seriously. My friend Nakia does not have that problem, and I love her for it.
